If I upgrade will I lose my products, customers, or orders?

No. Upgrading within CubeCart v6 preserves all of your data:

• Products, categories, and images
• Customers and their accounts
• Orders and order history
• Documents and content pages
• Store settings and configuration
• SEO URLs

What About My Skin/Template?

Skins are fully compatible across v6 versions. Your custom skin will continue to work after upgrading. The default foundation skin will be updated to the latest version.

What About Custom Code Changes?

If you have modified CubeCart’s core files directly, those changes may be overwritten during the upgrade. This is why we strongly recommend using the hooks and plugin system for customisations — plugins are preserved during upgrades.

Best Practice

Always make a full backup before upgrading. While upgrades are safe, having a backup gives you peace of mind.
